The Studies and Planning Division is one of the important units associated with the Department of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, as it constitutes a major link between the databases in the colleges and the departments of the University Presidency. The division is distinguished by its scientific and technical nature, which relies on specialized software to maintain and update the human resources databases within the university. The division also works on preparing comprehensive databases that include all university affiliates and formations, and updating them using specialized computer programs.
The Division seeks to achieve an integrated statistical system that meets all administrative and scientific needs. This includes preparing studies for the development of colleges and scientific departments at the university and their formations, in addition to working on developing and approving the initial curricula and their systems in line with modern academic trends.
The Division is also responsible for the establishment of advanced training courses and the supervision of training programmes prepared by the colleges and institutes of the University. Its tasks include updating the systems for morning and evening preliminary studies, as well as collecting, compiling and analyzing statistical data to provide accurate information.
The Division also implements information management programs and ensures its electronic flow between the department and its counterparts in universities, while ensuring that the data is constantly updated. Among the vital tasks of the Division is the preparation of admission plans based on the strategic directions of the University, and the production of official statistics for students, faculty and staff. In addition to providing accurate information services that support the rest of the college's joints in terms of statistics and training courses, and meet the needs of the entities that rely on this data.
The vision of the department is to build a qualitative division that has a role in enriching and assigning statistics to the various fields, whether teaching or functional, as well as other divisions and units of the college, and emphasizes the integration of the statistical and information aspect and reaching the production of information that contributes to building the future of the college and its cadres. The department seeks to reach an integrated statistical system that meets all needs, as well as preparing studies for the development of colleges and scientific departments at the university and their formations, working on developing and approving the primary curricula and systems, establishing advanced training courses, and supervising the training programs prepared by the colleges and institutes affiliated to the university.
The mission of the Planning and Follow-up Division is to promote the college's mission and contribute to its scientific and educational development through cooperation and interaction with the rest of the college's departments. The Division seeks to achieve this goal by creating new scientific departments and branches, updating the systems for morning and evening primary studies, in addition to collecting, classifying and analyzing statistical data to provide an accurate and comprehensive database.
The Division also works to implement integrated information management programs and their electronic flow between the department and the rest of the counterpart departments in universities, with periodic updates of data. Her duties also include preparing admissions plans in line with the university's strategic directions, and producing accurate official statistics covering aspects related to students, faculty, and staff.
In addition, the Division pays great attention to providing accurate data and information about the various activities and tasks of the College, including statistics for training courses and information services, to meet the needs of the concerned authorities. The division seeks to support the development of the college and contribute to strengthening its leading role in higher education.
